It is the policy of WHO not to assign an expiry date to their international reference standards. They remain valid with the assigned potency and status until withdrawn or amended. Reference standards are stored at the EDQM temperature-controlled storage facilities. Where available, stability information about a particular standard is provided on the leaflet supplied with the standard.

Users who have data supporting any deterioration in the characteristics of any reference standard are encouraged to contact the EDQM
