Answer:

The Self-Service Licensing Module (SSLM) is a semi-automated tool designed to simplify user management for licences with a large number of seats.

Key Features:

  • Domain-based access: licence managers can authorise users from specific e-mail domains to claim their own seat without manual intervention
  • Automatic seat revocation: users who haven’t accessed the site recently can be automatically removed to free up seats
  • Automatic reattribution: if a revoked user returns, they are automatically re-assigned a seat provided their e-mail domain is authorised and a seat is available

This system reduces the need for daily seat management and supports smoother user rotation.

Who is eligible?

Self-service licensing is automatically enabled for:

  • Licences with 100+ seats
  • Unlimited licences
  • Universities
  • Certain organisations and agencies that are stakeholders in the work of the EDQM

Other customers with licences for less than 100 seats may contact the EDQM via the EDQM HelpDesk to request activation of self-service licensing for their licence.
