The extension ‘P0X’ or ‘PXX’ corresponds to the on-going procedure for the associated CEP dossier. For example, ‘P01’ corresponds to the initial evaluation of a CEP dossier and is used until the certificate of suitability is granted. P02 means the second procedure for the same dossier, related to the submission of a change in the application after the initial certificate of suitability has been granted.

This numbering is used only as reference on the communication letters for on-going procedures. It is different from the full CEP number (CEP 202X-XXX-Rev XX) which characterises the certificate issued by the EDQM.
