Serology and NAT studies
A laboratory is classified as ‘satisfactory’ if:
- all core-positive and core-negative samples are correctly determined as ‘reactive’ or ‘non-reactive’, respectively;
- the ratios interpreted from the raw data provided are correct;
- the ratios obtained are concordant/coherent for the samples serially diluted from the same source material.
Immuno-haematology studies
A laboratory is classified as ‘satisfactory’ if all core-positive samples are correctly characterised/found positive.
