Do I require an import licence or must I provide special documentation to the EDQM with my order?

Before you order, check if the country to which you are importing requires special documents or allows importation at all. All necessary documentation must be provided to the EDQM when placing your order. This is particularly important when you wish to purchase biological products. Please consult the ‘Terms of Supply’, set out in the Pharmaceutical Reference Standards Official Catalogue. 

In the case of controlled substances (identified with the symbol * in the Catalogue), the EDQM will need an export permit from the French authorities before the goods can be dispatched. It can take up to 6 weeks for the EDQM to obtain these licenses.
