This is of interest if you plan to perform the calculations manually, since it allows the use of simple equations based on a complete and balanced data set. CombiStats uses equations from the Generalised Linear Models theory, allowing complicated matrix inversions, particularly those rendered asymmetrical because of missing values. In such cases, it is therefore not necessary to replace the missing values.

Warning: to avoid a bias in the analysis and interpretation of results, the cause of missing data must be identified. Example: if, for a given dose, some absorbance values are higher than what can be measured by the equipment, they cannot simply be labelled as 'missing' while keeping the other replicates. Instead, it would be better to discard the entire dose from the calculations.
