The total quantity of each individual substance produced by the EDQM is less than 1 tonne per year.

The samples that the EDQM dispatches are intended for scientific experimentation, analysis and research carried out under controlled conditions. They are not released into the environment under the normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use. Downstream users are responsible for managing the risks arising from their own use of the substances.
