EDQM should be informed in writing when a holder no longer wishes to maintain a CEP. The letter requesting the withdrawal (cancellation) of the CEP should include the justification for, or the reasons why the company no longer wishes to maintain the CEP and this letter should be submitted via the Common European Submission Portal (CESP). On receipt of the letter EDQM will take the appropriate actions to withdraw the CEP. As described in the EDQM Policy ‘Suspension or Cancellation of a Certificate of Suitability' (PA/PH/CEP (08) 17) there may be situations where the EDQM requests further information or makes the decision to inform the relevant authorities of the withdrawal. The withdrawal of the CEP will be confirmed to the holder in writing and the change in status will be made publically available on the EDQM website (https://extranet.edqm.eu/publications/recherches_CEP.shtml). The CEP will then appear as "withdrawn by the holder".
